For many a trip to the beauty salon is more than just about getting your hair or nails treated.
It is about taking time for yourself and essentially putting your self first.
Have you ever heard the phrase; if you feel good, you do good? Similarly visiting your beauty salon is another means to relax and enhance your mood to feel good about yourself.
However despite this, visiting hair salons can also be very overwhelming and intimidating for others, especially when hair stylists or beauticians don’t cater to your needs or requests.
On Feel Good with Andy Maqondwana, Andy asks listeners about the love/hate relationships they have with their salons.
In a call, one listener Goitsemang shares with Andy her hair salon woes, and questions why she should be assisting hair stylists with the handing over of hair piece when braiding her hair.
If I’m there to do my hair, and I’m paying you. Why should I hand you the hair piece? Why?
In a voice note another listener mentioned how she hates stylists who have no urgency when it comes to time management.
