SADAG is offering support to matriculants during this stressful time of receiving their matric results.
To assist matric students who are anxiously anticipating the publication of results on Friday, the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) has put up online assistance with professionals.
SADAG says it observed that anxiety levels significantly rise during this period and that in most instance when matric learners await their results anxiety and depression can coexist.

Vanishaa Gordhan, the operations manager for SADAG, spoke to the SABC and discusses how students can make use of the free program.
“Just being there is the most important. Letting them know that irrespective of what the results are, you here to support them. You here to help them navigate those options because there are so many options.”
“I think often, a lot of us get scared because we like oh my goodness what degree are we going to go into, what are we going to do in the next year. But often the teenager is really young, so it can be that they might leave a gap here, they might re-write their exam they might redo matric.” said Gordhan,
SADAG is also offering tips to parents to help their children cope with the stress of matric results.
