Ama Qamata to star in a Congolese/Rwandan drama film ‘Fight like a Girl’.
Ama Qamata is ecstatic to have joined the cast of the Congolese drama movie Fight like a Girl.
The 2022 People’s Choice nominee co-stars with Hakeem Kae-Kazim as a young Congolese woman who is forced to labor in an illegal mineral mine.
After escaping her captors, the lady joins a prestigious all-women boxing club in the border city of Goma, where she discovers a new life.
“That is officially a wrap on ‘Fight Like A Girl’. Spent almost 2 months in Congo and Rwanda training and shooting this phenomenal film. What an honour it has been to experience the other side of this beautiful continent and to be completely immersed on the culture,” She said on her Instagram stories.

The cast also includes Congolese boxing champion Clarck Ntambwe, who is making her acting debut, as well as Rwandan actors Kennedy Mazipaka, Arthur Nkusi, and Malaika Uwamahoro.
