Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oluwatosin Ajibade – affectionately known as Mr Eazi, has released a new EP called, ‘Something Else’.
Eazi’s EP came out on February 19.
The project has five songs – ‘The Don’, ‘Love For You’, ‘Cherry’, ‘Saudi Arabia’, and ‘E Be Mad’.
The award-winning artist joined Elite Nites with Kgomotso Meso to talk about his new music.
Eazi told Kgomotso that he called the EP ‘Something Else’ because “it is literally something else.”
The ‘Supernova’ hitmaker said the music on the album is not his usual style.
He added that he “felt very free recording the project”.
Eazi also spoke about EmPawa Africa – a project he started with the aim of collaborating with and empowering African artists.
The 29-year-old says the project is doing well.
“It’s been a lovely two years building Empawa. This year we are expanding our footprint,” said the star.
He added that one of the artists he is passionate about working with is Tanzanian singer and songwriter, Nandy.
“We started working with Nandy of East Africa. She is the biggest female artist out of East Africa, super talented, and we are honoured to be working with her,” he said.
The star said he was currently back in his home country working on a music video.
“I’m back to Ghana where my journey all started, and this is where I record my album,” he said.
