The N3 highway to Gauteng, between Reitz and Frankfort/Vrede is closed, following a fiery truck crash on Friday morning, 02 December.
According to SA Trucker, the driver of the second truck which collided into another truck has reportedly escaped the inferno unscathed.
Reports suggest that the collision occurred around 05h30 and the highway in the north direction had to be closed to contain the vehicles that were ablaze.

Motorists travelling in both directions to and from Gauteng have been asked to exercise caution as traffic is being diverted onto the southbound lanes.
In a statement, the N3 Toll Concession advised motorists as follows:
“All northbound lanes (towards Gauteng) are closed. Northbound traffic is being accommodated via contra-flow on the southbound carriageway. Traffic congestion and heavy delays can be expected in this area. Road users are requested to slow down and approach the area with caution.”
