Saudi Arabia caused the biggest upset of the 2020 FIFA World Cup thus far following their 2-1 win over World Cup favorites Argentina.
The win will go down as one of the most iconic moments in the nation’s footballing history.
In celebration of this, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has declared today a public holiday.
Both public and private sector employees will have a day off formwork and all schools will be closed.
The win puts Saudi Arabia on top of Group C with 3 points followed by Poland and Mexico who share a point each.
Argentina sits bottom of the table with 0 points.
Saudi Arabia plays Mexico this Saturday at 15h00.
