Wouter Kellerman Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode have been nominated for the 2023 Grammys Awards.
The 65th annual Grammy Award nominees have been announced, and a song produced by South African flautist and composer Wouter Kellerman Bayethe featuring Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode got nominated for Best Global Music Performance.
Award-winning Wouter Kellerman won his first Grammy for his album Winds of Samsara, and this is his fourth nomination.

Wouter Kellerman has said the nomination is a dream come true.
“Wow, this is incredible, a dream come true! I loved creating ‘Bayethe’ with Nomcebo and Zakes. I’m thrilled to receive this, my fourth GRAMMY nomination – am so grateful for the recognition for the work we’re doing. It’s very exciting to share South African music with the world, and we hope to spread some beautiful good energy with this song.” said Kellerman
Several African artists received nominations for the upcoming 2023 Grammy Awards presentation.
Both Burna Boy of Nigeria and Angélique Kidjo of Benin are up for Best Global Music Album.

For Best Global Music Performance, Eddy Kenzo from Uganda, Rocky Dawuni from Ghana, and Burna Boy are all contenders.
Tems, a Nigerian rapper who is often in the news, is nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for her collaboration with Future and Drake on the song “Wait For U.”
The song “Keep Rising” by Angélique Kidjo, the Woman King, is also up for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

On February 5, 2023, the Grammy Awards will be televised live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and the live stream will be accessible on the CBS Television Network.

Zakes celebrates the Grammy nomination with the release of a new song
Zakes has released visuals of her new song “Asanda” as part of this celebration of his Grammy nomination.
He took to Instagram and wrote: “Verified I have a lot to be great full for, my collaboration with my lil bothers @kususaofficial and @argentodust on on our smash hit record “ASANDA”, my Grammy nomination with @wouterkellerman and @nomcebo_zikode on “Bayethe” and my collaboration with @glenmorangie. GOD is the greatest 🙏🏿, as my late mother kept telling me Zakhele Mntanam “dreams delayed are not dreams denied”
