Several South African celebrities are up in arms with how South Africa’s justice system continues to fail women and children.
A recent article by the Sowetan follows and has highlighted the rapid increase of killings against children in South Africa.
In addition to this, the article has reported that about three children a day have been murdered during the first half of the year 2022.
Many people, including South African celebrities, have voiced their outrage and concerns about this revelation.
Actress Terry Pheto has expressed her sadness about the reports made. In a tweet, Terry notes that she fears South African men more than anything in the world.
“I fear South African Men more than anything in the world”, Terry Pheto shared.
Radio and TV personality Anele Mdoda also shared a heartfelt message about how we as a society and country failed to protect these children.
Anele shared: “We failed these kids”.
This report has highlighted the harsh reality of what it means to live in South Africa, a country where the lives of women, children, and queer individuals are not valued and protected.
