Award-winning sports journalist, radio and television presenter Robert Marawa has announced that will be releasing a book about his life story soon.
Marawa whose nickname is ‘Madla’uphutho’ has had a flourishing career over the last 25 years that has made him a household name
He started out as a continuity presenter before transitioning into sports broadcasting and hosting programs like TopSport and Laduma.
At the University of Witwatersrand, he began studying law in 1992, but it wasn’t until 1996 that he caught the broadcasting bug.
As a Zulu and English continuity presenter, he joined SABC1 when the channels were relaunched in 1996 as SABC1, SABC2, and SABC3, respectively.
After working on SABC1 for over two years, boredom set in, and the boyhood desire of being a sports anchor took precedence.
