Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, better known as “Nasty C”, dominates Spotify as the most streamed South AfricanHip Hop artist for 2020.
Overtaking Cassper Nyovest, and his album A.M.N (Any Minute Now), Nasty C’s Eazy reigns supreme as we close off the year.
But wait, there’s more
Not only is he the most streamed Hip Hop artist in South Africa, but the continent. That’s right, earlier this year, the artist hit record-breaking streams globally as Africa’s most streamed artist.
His music has massive global appeal, due largely to the conscious lyrics and his larger-than-life confidence. He’s released thunderous albums to date, but perhaps his most powerful is his 2020 offering, “Zulu Man With Some Power”.

Behind the bars
With features from T.I, Ari Lennox, Lil Keed and Lil Gotit, the 20-track album highlights his growth as an artist at just 23. This follows his 2018 album, Strings and Bling and we can’t forget his debut album Bad Hair which was released in 2016.
Four years later and there’s no slowing him down. Nasty C is claiming his space in the industry and it’s inspiring to see. He first realized he could make a career out of music at 16 and his first feature earned him R300. He’s now hitting a feature at R100K and working with international heavy weights who seek him for collaborations. Now, that’s what’s up.
