Everyone has been singing AKA’s praises following the release of his new single Lemons (Lemonade) featuring Nasty C.
The Megacy(AKA’s fandom) feels that the track is vintage Supamega and he didn’t miss unlike his recent hits.
Nasty C has also received props for his verse.
We all know Nasty C’s capabilities as a lyricist, however, his content hasn’t always resonated with the South African audience.
But this time around he found that sweet spot.
Despite this, Reason is not impressed with some of the things that were said in AKA’s verse.
AKA saying “Thank God they showed their true colours Switched up piano like Vultures” is problematic to Reason.
Especially coming from a hip-hop artist on an Afro-beat record.
“Who you talking about exactly? Give me examples.”
We have seen an increase in the number of rappers leaving Hip Hop for Amapiano.
We get that AKA has contradicted himself as he has always experimented with his music. However, we don’t get the defensiveness from Reason’s side.
Jabs have always been part of Hip Hop.
What are your thoughts?
Hearing @akaworldwide say “Thank God they showed they true colours/ Switched up piano like Vultures” is problematic to me.

Especially from a hip hop artist saying this on an Afro beat record. Like… who you talking about exactly?
Give me examples.
Listen to Lemonade by AKA featuring Nasty C.
