Club X owner, Tebogo Thobejane is warning South African women about a fake account that’s claiming to recruit girls for her infamous strip club.
The businesswoman took to Instagram Live to dispel any notions that she is recruiting young women via text messages on WhatsApp.
“I’ve been getting harassed a lot over the past 3 to 4 days, I don’t know who is after me and I don’t need to engage in this. It’s like they’re trying to human traffick girls using my name and I don’t want that.
Unless it comes from my direct DM or a direct DM from Club X, or one of the club’s booking numbers, it’s not me.
They will steal you guys, so stop being desperate and responding to these numbers.”
Tebogo said that all the girls who work at her strip club know better than to fall for these scams.
Sharing a screenshot of one of the messages an unsuspecting girl received, Tebogo stressed that this is not how she recruits her girls.
One of the responses from the “fake account” said, “I spoke to Tebogo, she sent me your contacts.”
This was after the girl in question said she would be verifying if she’s really chatting to Tebogo Thobejane.
