South African media personality, Pabi Moloi’s estranged husband has reportedly accused her of drug abuse.
Moloi who denied that she was legally married to Ruan Adams is now dealing with a messy court battle as the pair look to part ways and officially divorce.
According to a Sunday World report, Adams is trying to secure 50% of Moloi’s estate, as he claims they were married in community of property.
In response, Moloi is contesting Adams’ claims of marriage saying they had a sexual relationship which produced a child but they were never married.
She says she left the relationship because Adams was abusive and because he was accusing her of abusing substances.
The radio personality is trying to protect her estate which is reportedly worth millions, as she has a number of properties throughout Johannesburg.
Moloi said Adams had abused her financially and failed to contribute to their partnership, never helping out with any of the expenses.
She further claims that Adams was extremely possessive and jealous of her and says he embarrassed and harassed her both privately and publicly.
According to the publication, Adams questioned the paternity of their only child and manipulated Moloi with threats of suicide.
Apart from demanding 50% of Moloi’s estate, Adams is also stressing that Moloi pay back the R25 000 he paid for lobola.
Pabi Moloi reportedly owns properties in Fourways, Noordwyk, Elton Hill, Edenburg and two houses in Waverly.
Adams also says he’s entitled to her savings, investments, pension funds, vehicles, household items and shares.
The 38-year old didn’t get into specifics around the drug abuse allegations but denied using any substances.
