EFF Commander-In-Chief, Julius Malema has put his firm stamp of approval on uMisuzulu kaZwelithini, saying “he’s our only King” that deserves to be recognised.
This after further controversy surrounding the coronation of uMisuzulu which is set to take place on Saturday, 20 August.
Although the new isiZulu Royal Heir is set to enter the kraal solidifying his reign over the AmaZulu kingdom, a bid to interdict the official ceremony has been launched.
An urgent court application made by late King Goodwill Zwelithini’s two daughters, Princesses Ntandoyenkosi and Ntombizosuthu has been filed.
However, the AmaZulu Royal Family say the King’s coronation ceremony will proceed as planned. This isn’t the first time the Princesses have attempted to stop kaZwelithini from ascending the throne.
In January the Princesses called on the courts to stop the procession for uMisuzulu, which was later dismissed and in March, the court ruled that the coronation ceremony could proceed.
Despite plans for the coronation ceremony, King Goodwill Zwelithini’s brother, Prince Buzabazi has been announced as the rightful King-elect by a faction of the AmaZulu Royal Family.
uMisuzulu has already been recognised as the heir of the AmaZulu Royal Kingdom by President Cyril Ramaphosa, and now Julius Malema has come out in support of the King too.
Malema said nothing else matters because uMisuzulu kaZwelithini is the only King he recognises and the rest is just the noise of scavengers.
On Friday, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi said all attempts to stop the King from claiming the throne is making a mockery of the Zulu nation.
Iyodwa vo INkosi esiyaziyo, ISilo uMisuzulu KaZwelithini. He's our only king; the rest is noises of scavengers and hyenas. To all ground forces, feel free to attend tomorrow’s event. Wena weNdlovu! Bayede! Bayede! Bayede!🙌🏿 pic.twitter.com/spdsWBJ1fl
