Tshepi Vundla did not hold back when she quickly extinguished rumours that her boyfriend JR had finally “put a ring on it!”
The couple sparked rumours that they were getting married after Tshepi showed off some new bling on her ring finger.
Speculation about the couple’s relationship status blew up after JR’s interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG, when Tshepi was referred to as the musician’s wife.
Despite being together for 6-years and welcoming their second child at the beginning of the year, Tshepi says they are definitely not going to be walking down the aisle yet.

Speaking to the Sowetan, Tshepi laughed off rumours that JR had popped the question after she shared her ring to social media.
“The ring that I’m wearing is just a simple one… it’s a Pandora ring, I don’t know why people would confuse it with an engagement ring, it’s not even sparkly enough. I’m glad people assume it’s expensive but unfortunately, it isn’t.”

The couple’s relationship has been described as a typical “vat ‘n sit” situation, which is a local term for a couple who are cohabiting.
While this may be a problem for most women who may want a commitment and a ring, Tshepi says there’s no rush.
“I’ve been with JR for six years, I know it feels like a long time but our relationship is quite young. I’ve never been a girl who set a timestamp on when I should be married nor do I fantasise about walking down the aisle.
If it happens, that’s good and if it doesn’t it’s still fine. What matters is that I know where I stand with my partner.”
