Canadian rapper and superstar Drake has given South African fine artist Siphesihle Ntsungwana a shout out on his Instagram story.
The rapper has re-shared a painting illustration by Siphesihle.
Born and bred in the Eastern Cape, through painting Siphesihle’s work holistically explores his identity as well as the transition from living in the the rural area of Bizana, Eastern Cape, to now relocating to the vibrant city of Durban.
Infused with references from mass media and pop culture Siphesihle combines illustration and realism to depict subjects from his everyday life.
Titled, “Honestly, Nevermind”, the painting shared is a portrait of a braided Drake.

This is not the first time Drake has shown love to a South African artist. Drake has also shown love to South African Amapiano DJ, Uncle Waffles on more than one occasion.
Drake has also shown appreciation to DJ Black Coffee, who was the executive producer on his latest album to date, “Honestly, Nevermind”.
