Learning to be okay and accept yourself as you are, with all your flaws, is easier said than done.
However, as you get older you realise that the sooner you make peace and accept yourself for who you are, the happier you’ll be.
This might mean forgiving yourself for past mistakes or making peace with past events that might have broken your spirit.

The Best T in the City listeners share things they struggled to come to terms with but are now gradually starting to accept.
Lesego says she’s accepted that “she cannot have kids of her own after several gynecologist appointments.” She has now made peace with the situation.
Lebo says she struggled to accept that people call her names like yellow bone because of her complexion. She went to the extent of “walking in the hot sun to get darker but it never worked.”
Now she accepts herself for who she is.
