Comedienne Nina Hastie joins 959 Breakfast with Dineo and Sol for this Friday’s edition of All You Need Is Laugh.
Speaking about the Comedy Central Roast of Khanyi Mbau which was recorded on Thursday evening, Nina feels the jokes are always the same.
“There are writers who write these scripts for these shows, behind the scenes.
“It was just the same jokes. It was the same mechanic. I was like wow guys come on man,” she tells 959 Breakfast with Dineo and Sol.
Nina recently bagged a nomination for Best Content Creator at the DSTV Content creator Awards.
She says it is something she is particularly proud of because she creates “such a variety of content.”
On mental health awareness
Nina stresses the importance of mental health awareness. She feels “we live in a world where we have to help and support each other, particularly in this generation.”
Opening about having ADHD, the comedienne says she’s on the “best medication I’ve ever been on.”
Because of her ADHD, she has also developed bipolar disorder.
“The mood swings make it very unbearable plus anxiety, especially in the type of industry that we work in (you don’t want to be in a situation where you are moody in every situation),” shared Nina.
