England striker Raheem Sterling bids Manchester City farewell after seven seasons and eleven major trophies.
Raheem Sterling leaves the Manchester club for Chelsea FC for a fee of £45m plus £10m add-ons up until 2027 with an option to renew.
He thanks the coaching staff, who’ve played a massive role in his development over the years, his teammates, the fans, and everyone at Man City.
“I am thankful for the ups and the downs. As it’s the downs that have, at times tested my strength and resolve. And enabled me to stand here in front of you as the best possible version of myself.
“I arrived in Manchester as a 20-year-old. Today I leave as a man.
“Thank you for the endless support. It’s been an honour to wear the shirt of Manchester City”, he expressed in his heartfelt letter to the club.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, “documents are signed, medical completed in London and the player is flying to LA in order to be unveiled as the new CFC signing.”
