Disgruntled residents from various parts of Johannesburg have put City Power on blast, as they go hours without power.
Residents from Northcliff, Bergbron, parts of Randburg, Roosevelt Park and surrounding areas have been without power from 03h00 on Sunday, 26 June.
Issuing the communication below, City Power told residents power had been fully restored to Bergbron, Discovery, Florida Glen, Maraisburg, Roodepoort and surrounding areas.
However, this was not the case and many disgruntled residents said attempting to log this on the city’s website was futile as it kept crashing.
In previous statements, City Power said the fault was on Eskom’s side, which is why so many areas did not have power restored post-loadshedding.

City Power initially kept residents informed with updates on Twitter about the outage that was outside of scheduled loadshedding.
Thereafter, on Sunday after 12-hours without power, City Power went silent and didn’t offer residents further information.
Parts of these and other areas have had power restored, but many are still left in the dark.
Roodepoort and its surrounding areas, including Honeydew, Wilgeheuwel, Fleurhof and Allen’s Nek also did not have power restored after scheduled loadshedding.
Running through the Twitter feed for the city’s account will give residents an idea of the mess, with most areas in Johannesburg currently without power.
City Power have not responded to multiple calls made for comment on the matter.
