Zoleka Mandela is celebrating her 12-year sobriety this year.
She says she had her first drink at the age of 9.
Mandela has opened up about her more than a decade of drug and alcohol misuse, and how it all originated from her attempts to numb her suicidal thoughts after being sexually and physically assaulted from the age of four until her teenage years.
Her turbulent life story has been well documented over the years.
Zoleka took a trip down memory lane by uploading a photo of herself smoking a cigar from ten years ago, reminiscing on how she smoked for the first time at the age of 13 and the final time in 2012.
