Albert Einstein once said, “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”
At some point in our lives, we’ve all made mistakes, mistakes that when we think about we still cringe at to this day.
However, depending on how you look at it, mistakes are not always a bad thing because without them we can’t grow and become better versions of ourselves.
Best-selling US author Mark Manson says “regret is simply a mistake that we haven’t learned the proper lesson from yet. It serves an adaptive purpose. It can help us or hurt us. When we feel regret, we can either wallow in what we have done or we can take steps to ensure we don’t repeat it.”
The Best T in the City with Tbose asks: “Which mistake gave you the biggest lesson and made you a wiser and better person?”
Ntokozo says her biggest regret is delaying resolving conflict. “Two people have passed on and we hadn’t resolved our conflict. It’s something I will have to live with for the rest of my life,” she shares.
For years Manko wondered why people never stayed in her life. This caused her a lot of hurt and self-doubt. However, everything changed when she made peace with it and accepted “that people and encounters are seasonal.”
A listener says cheating on his wife was the biggest mistake he’s ever made. “The time of separation made me realize she is the best wife. We are back together and fully focused on her, our family, and our goals.”
