A 23-year old woman who is in love with a plane, wants to marry it.
Sarah Rodo, from Dortmund in Germany, says she’s in a relationship with a Boeing 737 plane, which she is sexually attracted to.
Calling her Boeing 737 model plane, Dicki, Sarah says she’s perfectly happy and in love.
Attracted to objects since she was a teenager, Sarah shares that she’s never been able to fall in love with humans. Her previous relationships all left her wanting, until she realised she has Objectophilia.
Object sexuality or Objectophilia is a form of sexual or romantic attraction focused on inanimate objects. Individuals with this attraction may have strong feelings of love, commitment and sexual attraction to certain items of their fixation.
In Sarah’s case it’s planes, although before she fell in love with Dicki, she had a thing for express trains.
The sexual orientation linked to inanimate objects is said to be linked to autism.
Sarah says she’s never received the same satisfaction from the two men she’d previously dated that she gets from her model plane.
She flies as often as she can so she can “spend time” with her actual boyfriend, the real Boeing 737 passenger planes.
Describing her relationship as a “long distance” one, Sarah says she would love to marry Dicki one day.
“Some people don’t understand my love but my friends took my coming-out very well and encouraged me. I would love to marry him more than anything but it’s forbidden in Germany.”
