Once a cheater, always a cheater, or so they say. If there’s one thing cheaters are good at it’s covering their tracks so their partner never gets suspicious.
There’s another saying, “cheaters eventually get caught.” But if you’re tactful enough and with the help of technological advances, you may just be able to get away with cheating without getting caught.
Not that we’re advocating for you straying into the path of temptation, and risking your relationship. As we all know, temptation does lure unsuspecting people into sordid affairs, and you know what they say about forbidden fruit?

Ways to cheat without getting caught
- Don’t use your phone to find someone to cheat with
You can’t risk your partner stumbling upon your inbox messages, social media searches or online dating profiles. The best way to “hook up” with someone is either at a bar, gym or the office.
- Make sure you keep personal information out of the equation
Regardless of how discreet you may think the other person is, keep in mind that they may not want to end this little adventure if/when you do. That said, be mindful of how much information you share with your scandalous acquaintance.
Keep your discussions light and don’t give them details about your work, children, partner’s work or the area you live in.
- You always book a room
Never, ever take your lover home for a quickie! This cannot be stressed enough. Whether your partner is away for the weekend or you live alone, this is dangerous territory and should be avoided. So, rule number one in the cheater’s guide to never getting caught, always book a room.
- Don’t change too much about your lifestyle
Your schedule at home can’t change too much or you will raise your partner’s alarm bells. Try to maintain your responsibilities at home whether it’s time with the kids, and roles around the house. Remember, there’s only so many “late nights” at the office that will pass as normal.
- You have to double hat it
This means that while you’re getting some outside your home, you have to still come home and sleep with your spouse or partner.
Talk about having your cake and eating it too. Just make sure you’re using a condom when you’re cheating!
- Don’t leave paper trails
If the person you’re having the affair with requires a little spoiling, make sure there’s no paper trails. Receipts for the hotel rooms, dinners, jewellery etc will all need to be paid in cash.
No matter how careful you are when you cheat, you can still get caught. You have to ask yourself if the thrill of the chase is worth risking your partner and family over. It usually never is.
