Malema said the government must expropriate that land and save the lives of our people.
“We said to the municipality that we need land because if you go back there, the same thing will happen again.
“When we say that we want the land, there are people who say we want to destroy things. We don’t want to destroy anything; our people need a place to stay, and the floods have demonstrated that indeed we need the land, and the land issue is very urgent.
“What is more important, is it the lives of our people or the investment of some individuals who bought the land and left it there and not doing anything with that land?
“Let’s expropriate that land and save the lives of our people,” he said.
