To some, being able to have casual sex might just be one of the greatest things about being alive, however, if social media is anything to go by in recent weeks then most singles are just over it all.
Research shows that people engaging in casual sex reported decreased well-being, self-esteem, and life satisfaction, as well as increased psychological distress and depression symptoms.
Tbose asks The Best T in the City listeners if “they’re tired of over having casual sex?”
Tebogo says having casual sex ended in tears for her. “I was having casual sex with someone who told me told that there is someone serious so we couldn’t carry it forward. We saw each other every week and I became so attached. He was sweet, he’d listen to me. What changed was we stopped meeting up and the woman saw my phone calls which caused them to fight. So we had to cut things loose.
“One-night stands are not my thing because it is so easy for me to get attached. My love language is quality time but if you don’t make quality time for me then it’s a problem,” she shares.
A listener from Cosmo City says she “thought that she could handle it.” She adds, “I’m too emotional and I realised that people don’t like confrontation. He made it feel like it was not a once-off thing, but he didn’t want me to have other relationships. Don’t do that thing if you are not ready because you’ll get burned.”

Rather get one permanent sex partner, just to balance sexuality. If it doesn't work out, rest! #WhyAreYouTiredOfCasualSex pic.twitter.com/wHuSCzZ5wW
