Durban artist Lungelo Gumede has shared his latest wax sculptures with fans on Facebook and it is receiving enormous appreciation from South Africans
Gumede, a WAX sculptor, has created a statue in honour of Bonginkosi “Zola 7” Dlamini.
The wax figurine is valued at about half a million rand, but it will be given to Zola 7 for free.
Gumede said the statue took him 7 days to make and is ready to be presented to Zola 7. Paint and clay are among the materials used to create the masterpiece.

Gumede also share the journey it took him to make the statue from start to finish on his Facebook page.

He is also the artist behind the famous Nelson Mandela and Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela wax statue.
