A case of culpable homicide is being investigated after a missing Dale College student was found dead in an apparent hit-and-run incident.
Lisakhanya ‘Carter’ Lwana was reported missing by his family on Tuesday, 5 April. This after the 18-year old was last seen in the early hours of Sunday morning, 3 April, looking for a lift.
The Dale College student had attended a rugby camp on Thursday, 31 March, slept at home on Friday and attended social gatherings with friends on Saturday.
His body was discovered by police between Masingatha and King Williams Town in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

According to reports, Lwana sustained severe head injuries and died at approximately 3am on Sunday.
His colleagues at Dale College Boys High School paid tribute to the budding athlete on Wednesday.
Lwana is remembered as a very talented sportsman with a vibrant sense of humour and contagious personality.
He had dreams of pursuing sports management and played for the school’s first team at both cricket and rugby.
Lwana’s father said his son envisioned himself one day donning the South African national colours as a sportsman.
