Kaya Drive listeners can’t wait to have Sizwe Dhlomo back on-air to share his 2022 Grammys experience with them.
The afternoon drive host was in attendance at this year’s music awards show which his best friend, Trevor Noah hosted.
Noah did a walk through the crowd pointing out all the big names who were “in-the-house” and South Africans, pointed out Siz in the crowd.
When a Twitter user pointed out that Sizwe’s seats were too far back, he responded “You’ll see where it is.”
It wasn’t long before his bestie strategically aligned the cameras on Siz’s table so we could catch a glimpse of the popular SA media personality.
Looking dapper in a white tuxedo blazer, Siz completed his look with a Manhattan Fedora hat.
His look was met with mixed reviews with a few South Africans unsure about the hat.
“Shame Sizwe can’t dress to save himself and one thing I have realized is that he doesn’t care! The hat was unnecessary Siz kodwa!” Tweeted @Chantel_M3
King_Puskie was in agreement, “Lol, I thought of saying the same thing but then I remembered he does not give a damn, and that’s actually cool, he’s content with being weird and that’s cool.”
Oh, well, you can’t win them all. One thing’s for sure though, the tales will be tall when he does return to Kaya 959. We’re sure he can’t wait to share how he was there to witness his current fave, Doja Cat winning a Grammy.
Of course, South Africans can’t stop talking about the 2022 Grammys because this year saw Black Coffee walking away with his first award.
