The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) are giving police 7-days to arrest Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla Lux.
Tension is mounting between the red berets and the group that is targeting undocumented foreign nationals in the province.
EFF spokesperson Sinawo Thambo called Dudula leader Nhlanhla Lux a “toy soldier” who is using excessive force on the vulnerable.
This after members of Operation Dudula accused an elderly man from Dobsonville of selling drugs.
Ntate Victor Ramerafe said his home was ransacked by Nhlanhla Lux without a search warrant.
“I asked Nhlanhla where’s your search warrant and he told me, ‘I don’t have time for search warrants, give me the drugs that are in this house.’ I told him if you find it, go take it.” Ramerafe shared with the EFF.
He said that police stood by and watched while Dudula members broke into his home with force and took items including money over the weekend.

The EFF set out to help Ramerafe open a case of burglary, vandalism, theft and assault against Operation Dudula members, including leader Nhlanhla Lux himself.
Holding a demonstration outside the Dobsonville Police Station on Wednesday, party members gave police an ultimatum.
“The police must arrest Nhlanhla Lux in the next 7-days. We don’t want to see him in Alexandra, we don’t want to see him in Pimville, where he bought a house with white money, we don’t want to see him Dobsonville. He must stay in his house until they investigate this case and conclude it.”
EFF Spokesperson Sinawo Thambo said
The party called for justice for Ntate Ramerafe who lives in a house without electricity. They are calling for Nhlanhla Lux to compensate Ramerafe for damages.
