Businessman Edwin Sodi has reportedly been released on R150 000 bail after spending the week behind bars.
It is reported that Sodi’s wife laid charges of attempted murder, assault with an intention to commit grievous bodily harm, pointing a firearm, and domestic abuse against him.
His bail conditions require him to not communicate or interfere with witnesses directly or indirectly.
The case has been postponed to the 31st of May for further investigations.
Earlier this week it was reported that Sodi handed himself over to the police after allegedly assaulting his estranged wife and her friend. Charges of assault and pointing a firearm were laid against him.
He handed himself over to the Sandton Police Station on Monday, 14 March.
