AKA has revealed that Riky Rick was approached to host the Braai Show, but declined.
In a new song he released on social media on Wednesday, 16 March, he reveals how back in 2021, after he lost his fiancè Anele Tembe there we vultures all around him who said, his best days were behind him.
He gave a shout out to Riky Rick Makhado for declining an offer to host the Braai Show on SABC 1 and applauded him for his principles and morals.
In the same year, he served the SABC with a letter of demand instructing the public broadcaster to halt the broadcast of The Braai Show with his arch-rival Cassper following him being booted off the show as host.
Earlier this week, he revealed in a statement that the legal battle has come to an end and that the courts have ruled in his favour.
Before releasing the song, he also said he’d come for whatever is his, “Now that the arbitration proceedings have determined, with finality, that I own half of The Braai Show, I will be going after what is rightfully mine against those that sought to exploit and undermine my creativity and intellectual property,” he said.

See lyrics to the song below:
2021, I was looking like steak,
Vultures all around me,
They said my best days were behind me
If you kick me when I am down, pray!!!
That I don’t get up to live to see another day,
Shoutout to Makhado, principles, morals
They said come and host the Braai Show, he said NO WAYS!!!
That’s more than I can say for your favourite,
Around the time I was suicidal, the narrative was that Supa Mega doesn’t have bread,
He ain’t got the stamina to run the comrades,
Just for fun. Practice🔪 pic.twitter.com/W9CkaIMfXp
