Julius Malema and his wife Mantwa Matlala unveiled an EFF-funded school kitchen at Moruleng Secondary School in Polokwane, Limpopo on Friday.

Addressing the school, Malema encouraged learners to shape their future through education.
“No one can take your education from you. Even if you are an unemployed educated person, you will still be a dignified person. Shape your future through education, your future is not something that comes years from now, your future is here today.”

The EFF CIC was approached by the school for funding.

Klass Monama, SGB Chairperson at the school said they had been sent from pillar to post for funding.
“No one wanted to assist us. The CIC never did that. Now, I’m a proud man because of the EFF, even though I am not a member.”
Moruleng Secondary School principal, Mrs Makwela Sinah thanked the CIC for the EFF-funded school kitchen, saying they now have hope that everything will run smoothly.
School feeding is an important social protection instrument and a component of South Africa’s social protection system, but it receives far less attention than other programmes such as the Child Support Grant.
