Speaking to Phemelo she said a successful blended family set up is possible when parents create a healthy space for it to thrive.
“Coming together with children from previous marriages, their children in previous marriage did not have a good childhood or the family set up there where they come from was broken.”
“They were abused or there was drug and alcohol involved; but in this union they get to experience family in a different space.”
“The two adultss here are prepared to create a good family environment for the children to grow in and it can be a space where children heal from the traumas they have experienced in the broken relationship from their biological parents.” says Masoabi.
