NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant’s statue has been erected.
The statue was unveiled on Wednesday at the helicopter crash site where they perished alongside seven others on a hillside near Los Angeles two years ago.
It’s officially been 2 years since Kobe Bryant passed away in a horrific helicopter crash.

The 73-kg bronze statue depicts Kobe and Gianna wearing basketball uniforms and sharing a loving moment as Gigi holds Kobe’s hand as it rests on her shoulder.

The bronze statue was unveiled on the death anniversary which happened on January 26 2020.
On the day, a helicopter was carrying the Bryants and seven others towards a girls’ basketball tournament that the 13-year-old Gianna was to play in.
Bryant’s died at age 41, he was a five-time NBA champion in his 20 seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.
