The Johannesburg Metro Police have clamped down on crime this festive season.
The arrests made in the last 24 hours relate to theft, driving under the influence of alcohol, and illegal firearms.
The JMPD K9 unit arrested 1 male suspect for possession of a stolen vehicle, Samsung Curve TV, 3 laptops, and 4 pairs of shoes.
The goods were stolen from a house in Pretoria North.
In Yoeville, 4 foreign nationals were arrested for the possession of two illegal firearms, knives, 3 stolen cellphones, and alcohol.
The JMPD also has a zero-tolerance policy for drivers who drive under the influence or park illegally.
One man was arrested with a blood-alcohol level that exceeded the legal limit by 0.37mg/l and 2 cars were impounded for parking illegally and another vehicle was impounded for a number plate investigation.
JMPD is adamant that lawlessness will not be tolerated.
