Limpopo police have arrested a 52-year-old man on seven counts of murder after a family dispute turned deadly on Christmas Day.
The NPA says Azwidohwi Enoch Ndou, a nurse, allegedly murdered his relatives following a dispute over land.
“It is alleged that Ndou went on a killing spree on Saturday morning as the family members were fighting for a stand-in Jimmy Jones Village in the Malamule area that belongs to their father,” says NPA spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi Dzhangi.
The NPA says Mpho Donald Ndou (33), Ndivhuwo Douglas Ndou (33) and Portia Mabasa (37) died in the attack.
The suspect is also accused of killing Rendani Winnus Ndou (12), Wanga Ndou (1) and Ronewa Ndou (4). They all died at the scene.
Eight-year-old Dakalo Makondo Ndou died enroute to hospital.
The accused handed himself over to the police at the Thohoyandou SAPS station.

Police recover weapon
SAPS spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, police recovered the gun allegedly used in the shooting. Officers have sent the weapon for ballistic tests.
“Ndou appeared in the Malamule Magistrate’s Court. The case was postponed to 5 January 2022 for further investigations and for the accused to get a legal representative,” Dzhangi says.
Meanwhile, a court has released a Limpopo advocate on R1000 bail after he allegedly ran over his girlfriend in Lesedi Park.
Lawrence Tleane and the woman, Tumelo Mamahudu Seshwueni, allegedly argued before the incident.
Mojapelo said the man allegedly then drove over the woman. She said the 24-year-old died at the scene.
Police arrested Tleane. Officers also seized his vehicle.
He has since appeared in court and is due back in court in February next year.
