South African musician Vusi Nova is taking a back seat as he makes way for his alter ego Snova. As he takes on amapiano with his new track Shuku Shuku, he has adopted the new moniker.
In a recent Instagram live the singer previewed his latest offering and explained the reason for the name change.
The 37-year old singer born Vusimuzi Nongxa said his amapiano alter ego is “crazier than the nicer Vusi Nova”.
“It’s not Vusi Nova who has done this track, it’s Snova. Snova is the crazy Vusi Nova. Vusi Nova is a nice guy. Snova is a bit crazy in the head,” he laughed.
Sporting a new hairdo, the Ndikuthandile hitmaker is ready to kick off the festive season with his latest track.
“Shuku Shuku” drops this Friday and the artist describes it as the perfect festive beat for a turn-up.
Fans don’t need to worry as Vusi Nova isn’t going anywhere. He’s just taking a break while his crazy alter ego takes over for a while and runs the amapiano scene.
