It is important to follow proper resignation etiquette when resigning.
The right guidelines need to be followed to deliver your resignation letter in a professional manner.
This will prevent anyone from interpreting you as a negative employee.
How you leave your job can impact your future employment, and it’s always a good idea to leave a position as gracefully as you started it.
Kaya Biz with Gugulethu Mfuphi recently spoke to HR Professional Bonnie Dunster.
She highlights the key steps to consider before making the decision to resign:
- Give resignation notice to your employer ahead of time
- Write a simple resignation letter
- Say goodbye to your colleagues
It’s good resignation etiquette to tell your supervisor that you are resigning before you tell your co-workers.
You don’t want the company to discover that you’re quitting through the grapevine.
