The model became a household name after appearing on ‘Big Brother Mzansi’. She used her newfound fame to build a stronger brand.
Since leaving the ‘Big Brother’ house in 2015, Blue has been building an empire. She started her own fashion label and has bagged big endorsement deals.
Blue told TshisaLIVE, in 2017 that she wanted to be more than just a reality TV star.
“I am proud of myself because I feel like I am not just going to remembered as Blue from Big Brother, because the truth is, I don’t see myself as a reality star anymore,” she told TshiaLIVE.
Growing up poor
Blue told Destiny Connect in 2018 that her family struggled financially following the death of her father.
“We lived in a shack most of our lives. Our father passed away when we were young and our mum had to assume the additional role of being a provider.”
Blue started modelling and won a modelling competition that helped open up many doors for her. She was later able to build a house for her family.
“I was just a final year student…I worked as a hostess at a nightclub‚ did PR for small companies and of course modelling. I saved up every cent,” she wrote on Instagram.
