The young creator started his TikTok account @khaby.lame March 15, 2020, while Italy was under lockdown due to the covid-19 pandemic:
“It all started during the first lockdown: I had recently lost my job, so I decided to start recording in my bedroom,” he says in an interview by TikTok.
Before the pandemic hit, he worked in a factory but lost his job. With lots of free time on his hands, Khaby started doing TikTok videos reacting to other creators’ content.
