Nothing is more frustrating than staring at a mountain of dirty clothes or a pile of laundry that needs to be ironed.
Although there are a lot of laundry services available, doing the work yourself might save you money.
All you need to do is learn a few tricks to help make the chores easier.
These hacks below will help save you time doing laundry.
Soak the kids clothes overnight
Kids clothes can get very dirty, especially if they play with sand or mud.
One of the best tricks to remove the stains and ensure that you don’t take a lot of time doing their laundry is to soak the clothes overnight or for a few hours.
Once the stains are out, it will be easier and quicker to wash the clothes.
Get your kids involved
Let your kids help you sort out the clothes according to colour before you wash them.
Once the laundry is dry, you can ask them to help you sort out the socks according to colour and to fold them.
Don’t tumble dry all the clothes
One of the ways to reduce the amount of clothes that needs to be ironed is to not spin or tumble dry them.
Some wrinkles are caused due to high spin speeds.
Also be mindful of the way you hang the clothes on the laundry line. Do it in such a way you aren’t making them more wrinkled.
Hang most of the clothes
Folding takes a lot of time and one of the best ways to ensure you don’t spend hours folding the clothes is to simply hang them.
Another trick is to buy different colour hangers for your children so that each child knows his or her clothes are hanged on a specific hanger, especially if they share a wardrobe.
Pack the clothes according to colour
A neat and well-organised wardrobe will save you time of searching for clothes. Try to pack your clothes according to colour. This will not only make your wardrobe look good, but also neat.
