The news that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting baby number two was a welcomed surprise this Valentines Day. In a statement, they announced the Royal family is growing and that Meghan is expecting her second child.
“We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.”
The announcement was accompanied by a beautiful black and white photo of them sharing a moment in a park; the image was reportedly shot remotely on an iPad by longtime friend and photographer Misan Harriman.
At the beginning og last year, Harry and Meghan stepped back from their roles as members of the British royal family and relocated to Santa Barbara, California, in July.
In the coming months, we’ll see how much of their journey they will be open to sharing with the media, seeing as very little is known about what’s going on in the royal family.
A couple of months ago, when Meghan shared the heart-breaking story of getting a miscarriage in the New York Times, she wrote.
“I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second…. Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few.”
Congratulations are in order to Meghan and Prince Harry.
