Kaya 959 Retro/Tecno is a gaming series that revisits classic arcade games.
Today we revisits the adventure hack and slash video game, MediEvil.
The video game was developed by SCE Cambridge Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
It was first released in 1998 in Europe and North America followed by a release in Japan in 1999.
It is 1286 and we find ourselves in the medieval Kingdom of Gallowmere following the character, charlatan knight, Sir Daniel Fortesque.
Fortesque leads an army to kill an evil sorcerer named Zarok who plots to take over the kingdom of Gallowmere.
Zarok is defeated but it must be known that our hero Fortesque, is killed by the first arrow fired in battle.
A 100 years later Zarok reappears and casts a spell over Gallowmere to awaken the undead army.
In the process he mistakenly reawakens Fortesque and the action-adventure begins.
MediEvil 2 is a direct sequel to the first instalment.
The game was first released in Europe in April 2000.
The Character Sir Dan Fortesque returns 500 years later in London during the Victorian era.
This time round he is accompanied by a ghost sidekick named Winston and a mummy princess who serves as a love interest, named Kira.
Together they attempt to stop Lord Palethorn and Jack the Ripper who plan to to terrorise the city by raising the dead.
