A suspected police informer has died by suicide in Brakpan, days after surviving an attempted hit in Boksburg. His vehicle was shot seventeen times last week, and no arrests have been made. Pretorius and his partner were both named at the Madlanga Commission, alongside slain witness Marius van der Merwe.
